What do you make of Kiran Kumar Reddy's resignation over the Telangana issue?

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has put in his papers in an apparent sign that he is disappointed over the imminent division of the state. Kiran Kumar Reddy, who has also quit the Congress, comes from a family that is a known loyalist of party, having served the high command for years. Reddy also does not have a very strong base in his state and the political buzz is that his elevation to the CM's chair was largely due to his family's loyalty to the Gandhi family. Under the circumstances, has Reddy gambled away his political future, or is there more to his resignation than meets the eye? Do share your views with us.

Kiran's "rebellion" is part of the Congress game plan. The gullible voters of Seemandhra will elect all the pseudo Sonia-baiters (the Jagans and the Kirans)who will align with the Congress post-election. The Congress's sinister plot is to wrest control of both the regions (or, states) through pre-poll (with TRS) and post-poll (with YSRC & Kiran) alliances!

KKReddy has done something that is unthinkable in congress party. He stood his ground and was firm till the end. He was accusing the high commandcall the time and theybcould not take any action on him. That shows the bankruptcy. Of the party leadership. It is more than obvious that this division was rushed through only for political reasons and took advantage of BJP's avowed support for Telengana.bif BJP had not cooperated theybwould have blamed BJP for the fiasco and washed their hands. Bjp's support came as a big surprise and went in to black out etc., as the happenings in Lok sabha would have shown congress in bad light in front of people. congress stands fully exposed and Reddy played a big role in exposing the party and the government. Reddy's family has been associated with congress party for more than 50 years and it would have been heartrending for him to leave the party. This should be a telling lesson to the congress party. Will they ever learn?

It's wrong to say that N.Kiran Reddy is not having strong base in his state. The important thing is that the State CM has serious objections and Assembly has rejected the bill, even then it has been taken up and passed in Lok Sabha in such a manner which shows clearly the adamant, despotic and dictatorial attitude. The decision should have been left to the next Govt to be formed after the elections.

Kiran is worst and last CM. He failed to revive cooperative sugar mills, even though I pleaded with him many times. He did not cancel the Nizam Deccan Sugars Ltd JV, even though the Legislative House Committee recommended it's cancellation. No one will shed tears for him. Kiran lived in his ivory tower with his friends/cronies, alineated his Cabinet colleauges with his unilateral decisions and arrogant behaviour. There is no love lost for him. Now that Kiran has lost his Crown, his cronies will desert him, since he cannot shower any more favours on them. They were just "Prasaad Bhakts". He did not see the Telangana writing on the Wall. Telangana will be a reality. Cricketer CM Kiran , was only a nightwatchman, bowled by Delhi's Googly!
