Is the Food Security Bill a political gimmick or does it really seek to serve the poor?

The bill covers 67% of the Indian population and will cost the economy a staggering Rs 1.3 lakh crore. Is the Bill really people oriented or has it been passed with one eye on the 2014 general elections. Do share your views with us

I have a question for all burecarft's of this country, you write the food security bill will help the 67% of indian population, if i am correct any everyone knows about the truth but none of any media ever tell or dare to ask government how he will implement it correctly. Or according to government data 27 rs. is enough is for day one meal so in my or more correct in our country a single labor charge is 150 and if ever try to know the one day earning of begger in street is more than 500 so what is need of food security. This only the Vote politics of dirty and corrupt UPA government.

IT IS TOTALLY POLITICAL GIMICK AND DOES NOT SERVE AT ALL THE POOR PEOPLE. 5 KG GRAINS PER MONTH IS ONLY HALF THE REQUIREMENT. MOREOVER THIS FOOD SECURITY FUND RUNING IN MILLIONS OF RUPEES WILL GO IN CORRUPTION. THERE IS NO STORAGE FACILITY AND THE GRAINS WILL ROT IN OPEN FROM RAINS ETC. FINALY IT WILL BE SOLD TO LIQUER MANUFACTURER AT RS ONE PER KG AND MONEY WILL GO IN THE POCKETS OF ITS MANAGERS AND POLITICAL BOSSES. ANOTHER WAY OF MEGA CORRUPTION.

With economy slow down, devaluating rupee, and with current deficit account gap getting wider and wider, it is clear that the economic scenario is worst hit in India History. So the Food Security Bill of this UPA2 govt serves no purpose for the poor people and backwards community or it is just a joke which the UPA2 govt has done with the people of this country. It is only a vote securing game plan of this sick government. Just to remain in power and to make fool of the poor people. This will cost the government more dearly in terms of rupees. It is not going to serve any purpose because it is a half baked bill which has been presented in the Lok Sabha so just by its mere approval nothing is going to happen. It is defective and full of lacunae. The end result would be the poor will be more poor and the rich will become rich and that gap of poor and rich is not going to fill. The poor will not have proper one meal a day. Corrupt government looting the dreams of the common man, and fooling the country at large. Because we will continue to remain a fool until we understand the LOGIC of Food Security Bill and its long term impact on our economy and on our budget expenditure. In the long run it is quite easy to understand that is not going to serve any purpose and it is the ULTIMATE JOKE OF THE YEAR BEFORE NEXT GENERAL ELECTIONS TO CATCH UP THE VOTE BANK POLICY WHICH THE GOVT HAS BEEN ADVOCATING FOR MONTHS.
